Welcome to SPECDR – the leading online construction directory designed for professionals and businesses across the UK and Ireland. Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using our website. By accessing or using www.specdr.co.uk, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms.

1. About SPECDR

SPECDR is an online product, service, and supplier directory tailored for the construction industry. Our platform connects suppliers, tradespeople, contractors, and buyers, offering a streamlined way to find and list construction-related products and services.

SPECDR is a part of Specify Magazine Ltd, a registered company in Northern Ireland.

2. Eligibility

To use our services, you must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into legally binding contracts. If you are using SPECDR on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Account Registration

To list or access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Maintain and promptly update your details to ensure accuracy.
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
  • Ensure that all profile information, including keywords and product/service listings, is truthful, up-to-date, and accurately reflects what you sell in-house.
  • Understand that failure to comply with this requirement may result in your listing being removed without notice.

4. Listing Terms

By submitting a listing on SPECDR, you agree that:

  • All information provided is accurate, honest, and not misleading.
  • Your listing complies with all applicable UK and Ireland laws and construction regulations.
  • You own or have permission to display any materials you upload.
  • You will only select keywords and products that you actively sell or supply in-house.
  • Listings are subject to approval and may be edited or removed at our discretion to maintain platform quality and integrity.

Annual listing fees are £250 + VAT, renewable every 12 months.
If your company holds an active SPECDR profile, you will have access to upload and manage job postings, pricing will be on the website.

5. Use of the Platform

You agree not to:

  • Post unlawful, defamatory, or offensive content.
  • Attempt to access other users’ accounts without permission.
  • Use SPECDR for fraudulent, misleading, or unethical purposes.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform or its security features.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access without notice if these Terms are violated.

6. Payment & Billing

All prices are listed in GBP (£) and subject to VAT unless otherwise stated.
Full payment is required before listings are published.
Payments are securely processed through trusted UK payment gateways. We do not store any card information on our servers.

7. Cancellation & Refunds

No refunds are provided for listings or services once published.
You may cancel your listing renewal by contacting us at least 14 days prior to the renewal date to avoid charges for the following period.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on SPECDR, including our logo, platform design, text, and layout, is the property of Specify Magazine Ltd and protected under UK intellectual property law.
You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without prior written consent.

9. Responsibility for Profile Accuracy

By registering on SPECDR, you accept full responsibility for ensuring your business profile is truthful, accurate, and kept to a high standard.
This includes product descriptions, service categories, contact information, and any keywords selected.
Misleading profiles may be edited or removed at our discretion.

10. Limitation of Liability

While we aim to maintain a high-quality platform, Specify Magazine Ltd makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy of user listings or third-party content. Use of the platform is at your own risk.
We are not liable for:

  • Loss of profits, business, or data.
  • Inaccurate listings or delays in publication.
  • Any indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Updates are effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the platform signifies your agreement to any revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
